Chapter One
In that moment, as I stood there, staring at the bottle of Lithium, Whispers whispered a gentle melody in my ear.
The soft hum of her voice seemed to blend with the silence around me, creating a sense of calm that was both soothing and unsettling.
Her whisperings were words without meaning, yet they carried a weight that pressed against your shoulders, making me feel the gravity of your decision.
She had been seducing her song of destruction all along.
Telling him the darkness would be better than the light.
Thoughts filled his head like helium in a balloon.
Floating away, he got lost in the wind of despair.
She told him lies to carry out the mission.
“Barnaby, no one loves you.”
“Barnaby, you’re worthless.”
“Barnaby, you won’t be missed.”
However, Solara's presence shone like a beacon of light, illuminating the darkest corners of his soul.
With gentle whispers opposing Whispers spell, she guided him as he sought refuge from the storms of life, leading them toward the warmth of peace and understanding.
Her compassionate heart overflowed with love, wrapping around him as he needed solace and comforting him in this time of sorrow.
Even in the presence of Solara, Whisper's words seeped into his heart.
Maybe I am nothing and belong in the grave.
He mused to himself, considering her words.
If it’s God’s will, I’ll die by this bottle.
He gripped the bottle and then swallowed the 60 pills.
“Here I come, God.” He muttered to himself.
Whisper overtook him with a slumber.
Hours went by, and he lay there.
Opening his eyes to his new reality.
“I’m not dead?” he said to himself in frustration.
Solara quietly sat there as he began to rise.
“Barnaby, I love you. It’s not your time. Go tell your roommate what you’ve done.”
He got up and went to his good friend and roommate.
“Nick, I took a bottle of my Lithium, and I think I need to go to the hospital.”
“You’ll be fine. If you poisoned yourself, you would have been dead by now.” Nick responded.
He reluctantly agreed to take him to the hospital.
They pulled up to the emergency room and checked in.
