Christmas Eve

It’s that time of year again,
the trees dancing with their lights,
decorated in ornaments.

Bells ringing,
children singing.

Ho ho ho.

Jolly Saint Nick arrives
without a bag of tricks.

Pleasant presents pour down through the chimney,
laid under the green,
the scene so serene.

The white glow of snow outside,
cozy inside with hot coco.

A manger so small
holds love for us all—
He’s the reason
for the season.
