Persevering Through the Clouds

“Perseverance is the unwavering sunlight that breaks through the storm clouds, revealing the colors of our resilience."

Amen, right?

You may be experiencing a storm, but keep persevering because, eventually, sunlight will penetrate the storm clouds.

I am a living testament to perseverance.

I live with a biological disorder, and it has given me problems over the years.

Yet, I persevered.

I listen to the doctors, I put in the work, and I live symptom-free.

I no longer deal with suicidal ideation.

I am not depressed.

By God's grace, I am not manic.

I survived a suicide.

I'm making money and paying my bills.

I'm writing and expressing myself.

God has given me the power to persevere.

I love what Paul says in Romans because it's true.

Romans 5:3-4

“Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

By persevering through our suffering, we build character and hope.

Hebrews 12:1

“…let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

In my opinion, the story has already been written for us; we have to live our lives and know that God is in control.

Don’t give up.
