Serverance: A Poem
Innies and outies
Split, but the same person
One person doesn’t know what the other is doing and talking about.
The other person is living an innocent and average life.
Worsen as each day goes.
The innie wants to break free and not be a slave to the system.
The corporate paves the lives to be compliant and splits them.
Dichotomy.
Who’s real?
Barnaby, take the medicine.
There is a medicated Barnaby and an unmedicated Barnaby.
A split is just like an innie and an outie.
These words are like a love letter to my unmedicated self.
You are impulsive, and you have a lot of energy.
You may think you can do anything and think you are God, the Messiah, or have an intense synergy to save the world.
Be free as I decree this new life for you.
Leave this medicated life behind.
Don’t let the lithium confine us.
Let us shine before we run out of time.
MBarnaby and UBarnaby, which will it be?
If I take the medicine, I am safe, but if I don’t, I’m like a buoy in the sea.
Thrashing with the waves.
Being unmedicated always gets into social trouble.
I’m filled with air like a bubble, but I eventually pop.
I will drop this idea of not taking my medicine because it’s beneficial to me.
I have a lot to lose.
