The Everlasting Rain
The water hugs my cheeks,
sliding down my face,
caught in the rain,
jumping in the puddles,
rain boots on,
deflecting the hydrogen and oxygen.
The drenched leaves crumbled,
water drops a hum.
My nostrils fill with the clouds
that are pouring down.
I smell rain.
Soaked, but cleansed.
My sins disappear in the drain.
This mind is blue.
Streets turned into a river.
A blanket of mist swallows my heart.
Each drop is like a disappearing thought.
Each drop altogether joins.
One collective flow.
The chorus of the sea,
made up of the blue abyss.
The fish wander the depths,
breathing in each breath of water.
Let my mouth be hydrated,
let my belly be filled
with the life-giving water.
The well will never run dry.
He is the everlasting,
who will never thirst.
