Time:
Time is a river that forgets my name
the closer it gets to the ocean
Time sped as I tread in the ocean
waiting to be rescued
Boats float by as I am left uncertain,
soaked in the bellow of time
No boat turns around, no signal is sent,
I swim for an island on borrowed intent
Sands tug my feet as I’m unable to retreat,
Time is all around, and I’m left profound
Chemicals:
Every sway conveys this array of chemicals
I don’t know why, as I try to keep
the profanity of my sanity
Surrounded by a crowd in my head,
my dread makes me misled
Each person claps at my collapse
There is no cause for the applause,
just a reaction to my action.
Wandering the streets,
squandering my soul
beneath my feet
My head turns as I yearn for peace,
pills slow the imbalance of my talents
Whispers within as it begins,
the air becomes crisper
