You’re not going to be here.
You have one life to live, so take this moment and live the next moment.
You’re not going to be here.
If you’re reading this, that means you have another breath in your lungs.
That means you have today to forge the next moment.
That means you’re alive and you can do anything.
There is a whole world to explore and experiences to be had.
The path ahead is unwritten, full of potential and possibility.
Seize this moment and make it your own.
Today is May 1st, 2025.
When I was 30, I was going through mania and psychosis.
I couldn’t distinguish between what was real and was not real.
It was a frightening and confusing time.
The world felt distorted, and my thoughts raced uncontrollably.
But even in the depths of that darkness, there was a flicker of hope.
Hope that the next moment would be better.
In the midst of the chaos I was coming out of a depression.
I wasn’t going anywhere with my life and I was riddled with addiction.
I felt like my life needed to end.
In June, I decided that it was time to take life into my own hands.
I took the bottle of Lithium and Seroquel and I swallowed all of it.
Hoping the pain would go away.
I layed there for hours wondering when my time would come.
For whatever reason, I told my roommate what I had done.
I went to the hospital, and it was there that they told me that I didn’t have much time to live.
The Doctors believed that I was going to die.
And yet, I am here today, writing to you, sharing that there is hope.
There is power in the mind.
There is power that all of us have to change our path.
You may thought you failed, you are a fuck up, that you keep getting it wrong.
However, you are alive.
In the next moment, you may not be alive.
You may not have another chance at life.
I was fortunate to see another day, and today I will not waste it.
I am here beyond the grave as a beacon of hope.
Be patient, but be persistent.
And when the doubt creeps in, when the old voices try to pull you back, remember this: you've already survived what you thought would break you.
The strength you possess is immeasurable.
Use it.
Today, let every breath be a testament to your resilience.
Every step, a stride toward your own redemption.
The future isn’t set in stone, it’s waiting for your chisel, ready to be shaped into something extraordinary.
